Water bottles save the world: dissolved in sea water after 3 weeks, it doesn't matter what fish eat in

Water bottles made from biological materials, have super cheap price, only less than 1,500 VND higher than plastic bottles.

At the present time, people are faced with a little optimistic fact about plastic waste, as they increase. In particular, up to 8 million tons of plastic garbage has reached the oceans, seriously affecting the life of the species.

Of the millions of tons of garbage, there is a big part of plastic water bottles. And to solve this problem, a patent company in Edinburgh (USA) has created a bottle of water with the potential to save the world. Because, the bottle can be dissolved in seawater after only 3 weeks.

This water bottle can be dissolved in seawater after only 3 weeks.

This water bottle is made of paper and some secret ingredients from plants, ie biodegradable. According to James Longcroft - the inventor from Durham University, inventing no need to use fossil fuels like plastic bottles. Sea animals should be fine when eaten, and completely biodegradable on land.

It is known that Longcroft started a non-profit project called Choose Water since 2016, with the original purpose of producing real plastic water-plastic bottles. He wanted to use all of the proceeds for social organizations, aimed at providing clean water to the poor countries of Africa.

When falling into the water or being discharged to the mainland, these bottles will gradually decompose from outside.

However, after realizing the serious impact of plastic waste, Longcroft decided that the company had to go in the direction of not using plastic. And with just a few months of testing . in the family kitchen, he created a new type of water bottle, coated with a waterproof layer from the secret material inside.

When falling into the water or being discharged to the mainland, these bottles will gradually decompose from outside. Although the outside is made from paper, the inside is covered with a waterproof layer, so the bottle still retains a solid structure, like a plastic bottle."Only this bottle breaks down" - Longcroft said.

"We have done all this, and they are really encouraging. The product is a combination of natural, sustainable materials."

"I just mix things from plants."

According to Longcroft, when it falls into the sea, the water bottle will begin the decomposition process after a few hours, and disappear completely after a few weeks. Metal bottle caps are longer, but will disappear within 1 year.

Longcroft believes his paper bottle will create a strong way in the water industry. Currently, the cost of producing each paper bottle is only 0.05 pounds less than the plastic bottle (about . 1,500 Vietnamese dongs). If produced on a large scale, the number could be further reduced.

The cost of producing each paper bottle is only £ 0.05 higher than plastic bottle (about . 1,500 Vietnamese dongs).

Longcroft's templates are now handmade, and the water in the bottle is just tap water. Choose Water is trying to call for capital (about $ 34,000) to continue to expand the scale of research and development, and turn it into a commercial product.

"The immediate challenge is to change consumer habits in an already saturated market, and compete with big companies."

"Changing an industry will be a huge battle, but with the help of the community, we believe we can do it."

It is estimated that by 2050, the amount of plastic waste worldwide will exceed 500 million cubic meters. So, it can be said that Longcroft's product is playing a huge role in the fate of the whole world.
