That is the claim of peach tree by Professor Gary Crawford and two colleagues at the University of Toronto (Canada), published in PLoS ONE magazine.

SunNews newspaper quoted Professor Gary Crawford as saying that the origin of the peach tree was unknown. Through research on radioactive carbon with ancient traces in the Yangtze River valley (China), peach trees are separated from the wild ancestors to become purebred plants at least 7,500 before.

Humans have spent up to 3,000 years to create a purebred peach tree like today. The research team surveyed six locations in China and found that peaches had thin gut, small size, through the transformation of human hands to produce large, delicious fruits like today.
