Which hand is Neanderthal?

Most Neanderthals are right-handed like modern humans, and this shows that human's "brother" ability can speak like us.

Right-handed people dominate compared to left-handed people with a ratio of about 9: 1, and this fact can also happen in the now extinct Neanderthal community.

Right-handed can be a sign that they have the same language ability as humans.

The results of an analysis of the bones of a "young man" Neanderthal about 20 years old showed that this person is also right-handed like most of the "older brothers" in Europe.

Called Regourdou , the skeleton was discovered in 1957 in France, not far from the famous cave system at Lascaux.

Previously, experts argued that Regourdou was right-handed when comparing the right arm muscle versus the left arm.

Now, a group of international experts have confirmed the possibility after performing a detailed analysis of the hand, shoulders and contact marks on the subject's teeth.

Neanderthals use their mouths as a "third arm" when handling objects such as food, creating characteristic traces on the front teeth, according to University of Kansas expert David Frayer.

The one-handed tendency is a sign of the state of the brain toward one side, the division between the right and left hemispheres of the brain, with each side controlling the opposite part of the body.

If the Neanderthals are truly right-handed, this confirms that the left hemisphere plays a dominant role, meaning the ability to appear language, according to the PLoS ONE report.

In humans, the left part of the brain plays a key role in the language, according to the head of Virginie Volpato of the Senckenberg Institute (Germany).

New research has supported the long-standing theory of Neanderthals, through archaeological and DNA analysis findings, that they can talk like humans before disappearing from the Earth's surface some 30,000 years ago.
