Why do transistors sound fragile but almost never fail?

With so many transistors, why do we rarely hear about transistor cases, or processor chips that have damaged transistors inside.

Transistors are an important part of processor chips. In concept, it is a semiconductor material that enhances or converts signals and electrical energy. Currently Nvidia's latest graphics card, GTX 1080, has 7.2 billion transistors in the processor chip.

With so many transistors, why do we rarely hear the case of transistor tanks, or processor chips that have damaged transistors inside, despite the name of the transistors listening quite . fragile?

In fact, transistors do not have moving components , they exist in solid form and are created by a piece of homogeneous silicon crystal. Transistors are extremely small in size and size (14nm, nearly as small as atoms), almost impossible to damage them. Moreover, the "printing" of transistors on a silicon plate like that makes them completely incapable of being damaged. We can even drop the processor chip to the ground without harming the transistors, except that the chips of the processor chip are broken.

To make it easier to imagine, compare the processor chip as a book, and the transistors are characters printed on the book. You can toss the book around but the characters in the book still can't be damaged or fall out.
