'Solar Road' is unique to Korea

A bicycling lane between two highways for cars, is a strange thing!

About 160 km from Seoul, the expressway linking Daejeon and Sejong has something special that is not anywhere in the world yet.

Bicycle lanes, with their roofs, are a kind of solar panel.

In the middle of the highway lane is a bike path, with a canopy of them, a solar panel, a light-absorbing system that spans more than 30km. Although this bike lane looks quite dangerous, if it is safe enough for Koreans to use, it will probably be safe enough for other countries as well.

The video shot with the drone below will show you the panorama of this road except the top view. Because it's drone-like, the engine noise in the video is quite loud, you can turn off the volume, turn on a song, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of what is perhaps the "greenest of the earth" .
