Chinese ambition monopoly moon resources
Chinese scientists identify a valuable material on the moon that can solve human energy needs for at least 10,000 years.
>>>China decided to "cut flesh" the Moon
Moon dust by the first scouts brought about a lot of titanium, platinum and precious minerals. However, the moon also contains helium 3, a substance brought by solar winds. They can create a revolution in energy production in the future. Helium 3 is a rare non-radioactive isotope on Earth, because the atmosphere and the magnetic field prevent the helium 3 from the sun from reaching the earth's surface.
According to the Daily Mail, Chinese scientists are trying to exploit the helium 3 isotope on the moon. Professor Ouyang Ziyuan, research leader of China's Moon Exploration Program, said the moon contained a lot of helium 3 and that huge reserve could solve human energy needs for at least 10,000 years. .
Fabrizio Bozzato, a graduate student at Tamkan University (Taiwan), says humans can extract helium 3 by heating moon dust in temperatures of about 600 degrees Celsius, then bringing them to Earth. He wished the gas was worth $ 3 billion / ton, so the exploitation of helium 3 from the moon is economically feasible.
Beijing expressed interest in helium 3 but has yet to announce a specific exploitation plan. Beijing has signed to join the United Nations Space Treaty, which regulates the moon's resources as a whole. But experts warned that the language in the treaty was ambiguous, so countries could circumvent the law to exploit commercial resources on the moon.
Bozzato asserted in an article: "China is very determined to implement the plan to exploit the moon in the future. China always says that the plan benefits the whole humanity. However, due to lack of Competitors should be able to seek Chinese monopoly of helium 3 mining ".
