Mut-x-man stone frog Odorrana mutschmanni science is large in size, females are larger than males. Body length in males is 85-91mm and 108-110mm in females. The upper part of the head and the front of the back are smooth, the back of the back and the ribs lumpy with small particles.
The new species is named after Dr. Frank Mutschmann, Director of the EXOMED Veterinary Institute in Berlin (Germany), to honor and acknowledge his contributions to biodiversity research and conservation in Vietnam.
The study is the result of cooperation of the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources and colleagues at the Hanoi University of Natural Sciences, Cologne Zoo and the University of Cologne (Germany).
