Discover the world's largest snake

In the spring, a strange phenomenon that often occurs in Manitoba Canada, that is when thousands of Red-sided garter snakes gather in limestone caves to search for mating partners.

The Science Alert page states that, when spring comes, about 75,000 red-sided gater snakes (scientific name Thamnophis sirtalis infernalis) pull back to gather in limestone caves in Manitoba, Canada, to create an existing Extremely interesting strange statues. Thousands of male gater red-sided snakes gathered here for the purpose of mating partners, but only one female in each snake.

The researchers identified this as the world's largest concentrated hard drive , the strange phenomenon occurring in this area due to two geological factors: limestone and swamp terrain.

Environmental photographer Paul Colangelo analyzed in an interview with National Geographic that the area is an ideal place in the summer with plentiful food from the swamp, mostly frogs, for red-sided gater snake. In winter, the limestone slits leading deep into the ground become a safe haven, protecting them from the harsh winter with low temperatures that can drop to -40 degrees C.

The red-sided gater snake will hide in the cave for about 8 months, then, in the spring they will exit the cave and gather into large snakes, then they cross the 20km long path to the birth site. Summer life with food sources are amphibians or worms, coincides, and then return to the cave.

Red-sided gater snakes are harmless to humans. Each year they focus on this area to perform strange mating activities when thousands of male 'competing' snakes mate with a single female snake. Male snakes will close their chin to the snake's head and try to contact them as much as possible. Female snakes are usually larger than male snakes.
