Discovered two new snakes

A new snake named snakes apricot Gia Lai - Calamaria gialaiensis Ziegler - has been discovered in Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Gia Lai province in the research cooperation program between the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources (Viet South) with Cologne Zoo (Germany).

This snake has a length of about 45 cm, light brown back, dark spots on the neck and some longitudinal spots in the area before the vent, there are 2 pairs of light spots and a yellow ring at the end of the tail. According to the Vietnam Forest Biology magazine, this is the sixth roasted snail species recorded in Vietnam.

At the Chongqing Nature Reserve, Cao Bang Province, a new species of green snake belonging to Protobothrops has also been discovered and published in the No. 1 reptile and frogs publication in 2009. This new snake species is named is the cobra Chongqing Protobothrops trungkhanhensis Orlov, the back and head are light gray brown, black in the tail, about 70 cm long, small, triangular, large, trapezoidal nose. This is the fourth species of this snake that is recorded in Vietnam along with the horned snakes, the green snake and the snake snake.
