In a statement, Arianespace - the company responsible for launching Doresa and Milena satellites, admitted 'an investigation has been conducted to find out what happened'.

On Twitter, Arianespace's CEO Stéphane Israël also announced an independent investigation committee will be set up on August 25 to investigate the case.

According to ESA, these two satellites have "entered orbit lower than the expected orbit" , and they still do not know if they will work normally. However, the agency confirmed that satellites are still under control.

'Both satellites are being controlled and controlled from the European Space Operations Center in Darmstadt, Germany,' ESA said.

Doresa and Milena satellites launched with Russian Soyuz boosters from French launch center in Guyana on August 22 after being delayed for 24 hours. They are the 5th and 6th satellites launched by ESA for the Galileo navigation system - a competitor to the current US GPS system.
