Researchers at the University of Florida, USA, found that soft meat diets and cooking techniques allow people to remove large jaws, which help the jaw get smaller with time.

Dr. James Pampush and his colleagues collected data on more than 100 primates. Through computer models, they track the link between the jaw front and its evolution. According to research results, chin growth takes place 77 times faster than the average genetic changes in primates . This can hardly be random.

" Most people are surprised to learn that humans are the only animals with a chin. This is a distinctive trait. In a way, it helps us define people," Tech Times quoted. Pampush, a member of the expert team, said.

The event happened about 6 million years to 200,000 years ago . The changes that lead to the appearance of the chin are directly related to cooking, indirectly related to brain and body size.
