In Greek mythology, the bright sun radiates lethal charm to Icarus, and NASA astronaut Sunita Williams also aspires to touch this brilliant body.

However, unlike Icarus, the boy flew so close to the sun that his wings melted and Icarus fell to the ground, the female astronaut fascinated with the bright light of the sun while hovering outside ISS International Space Station.

The beautiful photo was taken during a space walk when William and Japanese astronaut Akihiko Hoshide completed the mission to repair the vital energy department of the station on September 5.

In the picture, Williams, Expedition's engineer 32, in a space suit has 'grasped' the sun during breaks. The photographer is none other than Hoshide astronaut of the Japan Space Exploration Agency.

Williams and Hoshide spent 6 hours and 28 minutes working in the vacuum environment of the universe to remove stranded bolts when they made an 8-hour walk on August 30.

The September 5 trek is also the sixth time Williams has worked in space and she will soon be handed the role of the Expedition station head 33.

ISS currently has 6 astronauts representing Russia, the US and Japan, according to Space.com.
