Indonesia: The 79th death due to bird flu
On June 1, the Information Center for Avian Influenza in Indonesia announced: a 15-year-old female teenager died of bird flu. This is the 79th death in the country since bird flu spread.
Four chickens in a flock of six chickens raised at the victim died suddenly from May 12. The victim made meat and ate one of the dead chickens. According to Muhammad Nadirin of the Information Center for Avian Influenza, the victim died after four days of hospitalization at a Java hospital.
Earlier, the government was distributing medical kits (including masks, gloves and soap) and education manuals on this disease to 100,000 heads of villages. These tools will be a simple means of communication for village leaders to the bird flu.
