Norwegian officials announce recruitment to find white bears on the Svalbard Islands in the summer. The work will last for three weeks and start on July 8. If you see a polar bear, the bearer will call the researchers who are working on a project on the island for them to follow them, the AP reported.

Requirements for candidates include: working outdoors, skilled at detecting white bears and being able to use guns. However, officials of the archipelago insist that the selected person will not have to use guns, provided they have a strong voice to scare the bear.

It is estimated that 3,000 bears are living on the Svalbard Islands. The population on the archipelago is about 2,400 people.
