Legend of bad luck brought by black cats

Everyone says that when a black cat runs through the path you are going, the risk will definitely happen. But have you ever wondered how black cats got so badly known? Is it simply because of the color of their feathers, or is there something that really brings a bad feeling?

Christianity believes that cats bring bad things.

In 1233 AD, the ninth century Pope Gregory closed the last nail on the black cat's coffin, when he announced that the black cat was an incarnation of the devil. With this statement, Christians have hunted down black cats and burned them at festivals to punish their demonic incarnations. Things were so bad that in the 14th century, cats were almost extinct in some parts of Europe.

Centuries later, the idea that black cats are related to demons has been naturally formed, making black cats look like witches. According to superstitious people, black cats are believed to be disguised as witches. Others claim that the black cat may actually become a witch after being a member of the witchcraft for 7 years in a row. At the time of the 16th and 17th centuries, anyone who owned a black cat was enough to be considered a witch and sentenced to death.

Ironically, these black cat superstitions have lasted even today , though they prove nothing but bringing bad luck to the black cats themselves.
