Naughty child by birth
In a study of adult twins and their children, researchers found genes, not parental behavior, that affect whether or not they bully others, drop out or steal. or not.
Research has addressed the ever-controversial issue that children's behavior originates from nature or nurturing.
Earlier, it was thought that parents' conflicts caused problems in their behavior. But new research shows that it's actually genetic. Accordingly, bickering parents will transmit that personality to their children.
" Conflict between husband and wife does not cause behavioral disorders of children ," study author Kathryn Paige Harden at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, USA, said: "Spousal quarrels are influenced by righteousness. Parents' ways, including genes, are passed on to the children. "
Harden and his colleagues drew their conclusions after studying 1,045 adult twins and their children. The team found that genes affect marital dissonance, and since then, the gene is a link between parents' discord with bad behavior of their children.
According to Harden, genes involved in risk-taking, sensational sensation and other anti-social behavior make it easier for parents to collide. And when these genes are passed on to children, it makes them easier to cause. However, the researchers emphasize that it does not mean that the arguments between parents have no effect on children. Although genes play a more important role, parents' quarrels still make children sad and affect their behavior.
