This is the first time China has launched two satellites with a rocket. The two new satellites will increase the accuracy of the Beidou global positioning system.
China will launch three more satellites this year. As planned, the process of deploying Beidou global positioning system will be completed in 2020. At that time, the system will have 30 artificial satellites.
