Perspective settled on Europa

Experts of the US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) claim that one day Jupiter's moon Europa may be suitable for occupants.

According to a report published in the Astrobiology Journal, NASA has appointed a group of scientists to work out specific goals towards deploying the mission of landing craft on the ice-filled surface of Europa.

It is known that the expert team has outlined 3 main goals for this future mission.

The first is to test non-tape materials from at least 2 different depths to understand the detailed structure of salt, biological materials and other impurities.

The second focus is to draw a geophysical map of Europa to examine the moon's ice shelf and the ocean.

Finally, scientists hope the spacecraft to Europa will allow them to describe the surface geological condition.

'The response to Europa and its surface is a difficult target for planetary science,' said Robert Pappalardo of NASA's Motivational Laboratory.

In March, scientists announced the most obvious evidence that saltwater from a giant ocean beneath the Europa's thick ice still finds its way to the surface, reinforcing the theory that it could there is life on Jupiter's moon.
