Helpmet is a mobile device that can automatically call for help if it records impact power above 95g, which causes people to lose consciousness. Immediately after the collision, Helpmet activates bright colored LEDs and sirens to inform other passersby.
After 10 seconds, Helpmet signals the location of the accident and all important data about the victim such as age, blood type, allergy, emergency contact number to the rescue service. Rescuers can find the victim's location via satellite positioning (GPS). Currently, Helpmet is being introduced in Thailand, where 80% of road deaths occur in remote areas.
