SpaceX launches and successfully recovers Falcon boosters 9

In the morning of January 15, Hanoi time, the US private space corporation - SpaceX - successfully launched the Falcon 9 unmanned rocket to put the satellite on Earth orbit.

This is the first Falcon 9 rocket launch since the missile incident exploded after leaving the launch pad in September 2016.

SpaceX's representative said the Falcon 9 rocket was launched from Vandenberg air base in California state at 9:54 am on January 14 (ie 1 hour 54 am January 15, Hanoi time) carrying 10 satellites. of telecommunications company Iridium.

About two minutes after leaving the launch pad, the two floors of the rocket separated and eight minutes later, the first floor of the rocket successfully landed on a floating pedestal placed in the Pacific Ocean, marking the first time. First a rocket of a private firm successfully landed on a platform on the sea.

Meanwhile, about an hour after leaving the launch pad, the second floor of the missile brought satellites into orbit.

The 10 new satellites are part of Iridium's global plan to upgrade its telecommunications system. Under this $ 3 billion project, Iridium will launch 81 satellites into space in the coming months.

This launch marks SpaceX's seventh success in the goal of recovering missiles to reuse to reduce the cost of each launch.

Founded in 2002, SpaceX is under the management of technology billionaire Elon Musk. Currently this private corporation is one of the leading enterprises in space transport and is an important partner of the US Aerospace Agency (NASA).
