The 19-year-old girl ate soap like candy
Ms. Tempestt Henderson (American) has a very odd habit: addicted to both soap and powder soap.
The 19-year-old girl ate soap like candy
Tempestt recounted that, at first, she liked the scent of soap emanating from her mother's sweater, from the bed mattress of the room. Later, she tasted the powdered soap and found a salty taste. Since then, she is addicted to this toxic food.
As a nursing student, Tempestt knew the health effects of soap, but she enjoyed eating food without anyone eating it. On average, she eats 5 soap cakes a week.
Tempestt went to the doctor for advice. According to the doctors, she suffered from PICA disease, a very rare disease. Patients with this disease often eat non-nutritious substances such as metal, chalk, sand . The cause of this condition is due to the lack of minerals in the body, but in the case of Tempestt, the doctors think that she is severely stressed. The reason may be because she just broke up with her boyfriend.
Soap, whether powder or bread, is very harmful to health. Doctors advise Tempestt on behavioral treatment so that she has a positive way of thinking and encourages her to go out more often, take frequent walks and avoid places with soap.
Since September 2010, Tempestt has ' broken up ' with soap. She hopes to never eat soap again.
