The billion-dollar spacecraft communicating with NASA from the dead

NASA received the first signal transmitted from the Cassini spacecraft after the first dangerous dive through the gap between Saturn and the belts.

Scientists broke out when Cassini contacted again.

On Twitter CassiniSaturn, NASA said the Cassini spacecraft is transmitting data about the Earth over 1.6 billion kilometers. The ground controllers are the first to detect signals. Scientists are waiting for information from the distance measurement and condition of the ship.

Yesterday, the Cassini spacecraft began making its first dive out of a total of 22 turns to get closer to the surface of Saturn than any previous mission and collect large amounts of information about the belt as well as its surface planet. This is the opening event of "Grand Finale" , which marks Cassini's last journey around Saturn before the $ 3.3 billion ship plunges to the surface of the planet.
