Abell2744 Y1 galaxy appeared when the universe was about 650 million years old, compared with the current age of 13.8 billion years.
Its size is 30 times smaller than the Milky Way, but the rate of star production is 10 times more, like the galaxies when the universe is still young.
The finding is the result of the 'Border Areas' program implemented by the US Space and Aeronautics Agency (NASA), by combining the capabilities of space telescopes.
Spitzer observes under infrared light, Hubble captures visible light and short-wavelength infrared, while Chandra is responsible for tracking X-rays.
NASA also takes advantage of 'natural lenses' , indicating gravity that amplifies the light of distant galaxies, to upgrade the telescope's capabilities.
The 'Border Areas' program will take photos of 6 galaxy constellations, according to Space.com.
