In the bottom right corner of the image, there is a pale white light area. This is due to the scattering of sunlight in cosmic dust particles.
According to ESO, the ALMA Observatory possesses the strongest telescope that can observe penetrating gas and dust particles.
It is designed to study the building blocks of stars, planetary systems, galaxies, allowing astronomers to address some of the deeper questions about our cosmic origin.
