The poisonous fish hides the sword in its head

The fighting fish - one of the most terrifying creatures on the planet - has just been discovered with a "secret weapon": a sharp bone sword hidden just below the eyes, automatically bouncing off when needed.

According to the University of Kansas research team, the sharp, long bones that they call the "lachrymal sword" are used by fighting fish as a weapon when facing an enemy.

In addition, the sword is a tool to show off its power when it needs to flirt with a female.

The sword is hidden right in the head area, below the ankle, it can be seen quite clearly on X-ray film. Rock fish will use muscles in the cheeks to "draw the sword" when needed.

According to Professor William Leo Smith, an expert in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Kansas, he and his colleagues studied the fish for 15 years and thought it was really one of the births. The most terrifying object on the planet, accumulating countless horrible things.

The main fighting fish live in the coastal region of Indonesia - Pacific. Its face many times reached the top of the ugliest, most horrifying creatures of the sea. Rock fish have the ability to camouflage ingenuity, imitate the stones to evade enemies as well as snoop on prey. Most of the fish species also possess deadly toxins on the body.

"The lachrymal sword" is not poisonous, but according to the researchers, it is dangerous enough for all enemies because of the ability to bounce unexpectedly, making it difficult for the opponent to defend.
