The reason many people can predict rain through air odors

How many people predict rain? By asking Thor, the god of thunder? Not so.

When someone smells ozone, it can help them predict the rain.

There are 2 ways to predict rain.

The first case is before a heavy rain occurs.

Meanwhile, the lightning strikes the molecules of nitrogen and oxygen, eventually creating ozone. Strong winds will carry ozone to the ground. This is a gas with a bad smell. When someone smells ozone, it can help them predict the rain.

The second case is when it is raining somewhere not far away .

Normally, the surface of the soil and leaves have dust particles and aromatic oils on them. When the rain falls on these surfaces, it produces small air bubbles containing aromatic particles. Like bubbles bubbling up in soda bottles, bubbles of air containing aromatic particles fly high and break. Then, strong winds brought them before the rain, helping us smell the aromatic seeds and predict the rain.
