This is a real creature, but can you guess what it is?

A picture has made netizens confused, not understanding what kind of animal anymore.

Have you ever heard the term "magnetic resonance imaging" - MRI ? It is a method of shearing using magnetic fields and radio waves, allowing you to recreate an image of an object without directly interfering with it.

MRI is most commonly used in brain scans, as this is a part that cannot be touched freely. However, images after MRI brain scans sometimes make people feel extremely difficult to understand. That's what Ben Inglis, an MRI expert from the University of California, has done many times on his personal Twitter.

Inglis has posted brain scans of dolphins, whales, even a practicing dog. But recently, he is making netizens waking up because of an abstraction of an abstract picture with the question: "What kind of animal is this?".

Can you guess?

The photo quickly "caught " thousands of tweets. Many ideas were raised, including some who thought this was the brain of a salmon, or a clown fish, even . a Porg in Star War.

After all, no one guessed correctly. Inglis said it was an MRI scan of a 12-month-old child.

However, the next story was revealed that caused all to fall: the sea lion died of leptospirosis infection - a type of bacteria dangerous to both humans and many other animals.

What is MRI resonance?

It can be said, MRI brain scanning method is a breakthrough of technology. By applying a very strong magnetic field to the water molecules in the body, the proton inside the hydrogen atoms will align in one direction, just like how the compass works.

Very strong radio waves will be shot in, to temporarily dispose of that arrangement. The protons then returned to their original positions, and the process emitted feedback waves of radio waves. Thanks to that, we can look at parts located in places where conventional machines cannot be used, thereby making diagnosis easier.
