Why is Guan Gong red face?
Legend has it that Guan Gong has white skin, and his beard is not long. His face only changed after a run away from the pursuit.
So far, the posterity is still not concerned about the red face of Quan Van Truong. There are countless interesting anecdotes about his red skin origin. According to folklore, the bright red skin of Guan Gong is associated with the area of chicken blood. In one time, when he was pursued by a soldier, Quan Van Truong escaped to a mountainous area. The army officer visited the place, saw someone lying on the bed, opened the blanket to see, probably not. Because of the person they hunted, there was a white, handsome skin, not red, long beard and a feverish appearance. Thinking about it, the soldier left. Thanks to that, Quan Cong escaped. From then on, his skin kept on glowing red and her hair painted into his stubble.
In folk, there is also another interesting anecdote. When pursued, Quan Van Truong ran to the river bank to meet an old woman. Seeing his heroic figure, the old lady said, "Hey boy, please hit your nose yourself." Hearing this, Guan Gong used his fist to punch his nose, making blood on his face, so that his skin was dyed red.
Next, he quickly cut his hair around his mouth, turning into a majestic long-faced beard and red beard, thus escaping death. Quan Van Truong gave thanks to the old lady who quickly conspired and then ran to Trac Chau. Folk still rumors, the old woman is none other than Quan The Bodhisattva.
There is also the perception that Quan Van Truong is not a human. He is a dragon king. Legend has it that Giai Chau, the home of Quan Cong, has a big salt lake. On the edge of the lake there is a meditation hall. Venerable here loves to play chess. Phàm is those who go through the fun to play chess with the monk, even save to eat a vegetarian vegetarian meal. Later, there was a great macho who came here for months to play chess with the monk.
One day, the monk lost three consecutive games. At that time, the Chau Chau area had not had a rain drop, a dry field, hunger and hunger, for many months. The Venerable Master was compassionate and pityful. The macho officer listened to the heart and said: "I am the Dragon King. The emperor of the emperor does not allow me to rain in this area. I also have the power to stop my heart."
Hearing that, the venerable master pleaded. The Dragon King expressed his sympathy and said: "Yes, I will go home to make rain. But I have a request. Wait until the rain ends, please bring a big bucket to the lake's edge, when the water is red Then he scooped it into the bin and brought it to the temple. Saying that, the macho disappeared.

As expected, the rain poured down the area, causing people and animals to resurrect. The Venerable Master did not forget the benefactor's advice, then brought the large vat to the lake, filled with red water. 108 days later, in the water tank suddenly rose a pink boy, that is Quan Cong later.
The child was actually the Dragon King, after being ordered to do rain for the whole of Zhouzhou, was punished. The red water in the lake is his blood. When taken to the temple to be kept, the new form of Long Vuong was created, which was Quan Cong. Ever since his birth, his face has turned red.
In another explanation, the image of Guan Gong was built by the imagination of feudal-era writers. They based on folk legends and "painted" red for the face of the hero like this. Typically, the character Quan Van Truong in "Three Kingdoms takes meaning" of La Quan Trung.
So far, the truth about the color of Quan Cong has not had an exact solution, but the posterity always considers it as a color to symbolize the spirit of intensification, the will to fight over; his righteous bravery and heroic nature. That red color also contains a profound cultural meaning of Chinese people.

The profession of martial arts, the general also considers Quan Cong to be a nest, along with many other professions, totaling a few dozen. Even the executioners also "relied on" Quan Cong. They often hide the temple in the temple to worship him because he thinks his mighty will prevent the injustice of the prisoners who were beheaded by the reporters.
There is no wealthy family like his grandfather who means Truong Phi or a noble lineage, though far away, his grandfather means Luu Be, a young man, and Quan Cong trivial, poor, and earn a living By pushing carts, sometimes making tofu.
It is reasonable for him to be worshiped as a patriarch of tofu making, and other professions that are accepted for nesting are a strange thing.

Legend has it that the Qianlong emperor, when he was new to the throne every time, heard that he had a clattering sound like someone wearing slippers, but turned around, he did not see anyone. Once he turned his head like that, the king asked: "Who still follows the household so strenuous?". Immediately there was a reply: "Be the second of the Quan Van Truong". After that, the Qing Dynasty king went down to pioneer Quan Cong as a genius. On the door of the temple worshiped the name of the General of Thuc Han from which people often mentioned 10 golden words: "Han vi Van martial em, Thanh phong Phuc Loc Than".
Also in Qianlong's life, there was a rumor that it was Guan Yu's epiphany that helped the Qing army to defeat the enemy, causing the Qing soldiers to hang his photos in the barracks, and wearing his statue as an amulet. Later in life, King Ham Phong promoted him to the same level as Confucius, called Quan Phu Tu. After the Confucian family, he was the only person to be honored as Phu Tu.
According to the researchers, it is a political flag of Qianlong, and the story of Guan Gong shows the king's price, perhaps for the fictional king himself. Although Qianlong was the fourth King of Qing Dynasty to rule China, the wave of rebellion against Qing was still strong, the people still did not forget Manchu as an alien, an aggressor. To contribute to pacifying the people, Qianlong took advantage of Quan Vu, who was worshiped by many Chinese people.
Despite protests against many policies of the Qing Dynasty, people were excited when a Han hero was respected and deified by King Thanh himself. Dan Han attaches great importance to the genius, so instead of seeing the twists and turns of assigning Guan Yu to the business, they don't think much about it but wholeheartedly hope to have more fortune.
Not only seducing the Han people, with the above-mentioned myth, the Man Thanh emperor also borrowed the famous Quan Cong name to raise himself to a level: he was the rank that came to the spirit of Saint Quan and also had to pay the price. . As a result, the Han Chinese intellectuals were probably very angry about this.
