Tigers carrying princesses longer than 5 meters sneak into Indian houses

The snake rescue specialist uses his hand and a simple tool to catch the tiger and bring the king to the Simlipal National Park.

Ruhia Singh, a native of Mayurbhanj, Odisha state, India, rushed out when he found a tiger with an adult lord hiding in his room, NDTV reported on December 7. Staff from the local forest management agency could not catch the giant animal and the snake rescue specialist Krushna Chandra Gacchayat was called. The villagers also gathered to monitor the incident.

At first Gacchayat hesitated, he said. However, when he saw the villagers preparing to kill the snake, he was determined to save it. Using simple hands and tools, Gacchayat pulled the tiger to bring the god out of hiding.

"I have never seen a snake so big, it is more than 5 meters long. I feel very happy to have captured it and taken him to the Simlipal National Park," Gacchayat said. The god-bearing tiger is the longest poisonous snake in the world, the adults are usually 3-4 meters long but there are also cases of up to 6 meters.

The encounter with snakes is not unusual in Odisha. In October 2018, a poisonous butterfly tiger snake was discovered near the school in Baripada. Gacchayat rescued and released it to the forest.
