Unexpected discovery of dog loyalty

For a long time, apart from being a housekeeper, dogs are still considered loyal friends. However, a new study finds evidence that this animal will be loyal to any object that feeds them.

According to new research on animal cognition, dogs interact with robots similar to how they communicate with humans, if robots appear "close, friendly".

Scientists have experimented by having a robot show the dog food hiding place and measuring their response to the instructions of the robot. As described in the study, robots are shaped like "an exercise device with white gloved hands".

In an experiment, the robot was "unfriendly" because it only made a beep to communicate with the dog. However, the dog was able to find better hidden food when the robot had a human face on its screen and "friendly" expression .

In experiments with friendly robots, the dog's owner will enter the room, shake the robot's hand and talk to him. After that, the robot will emit the name of the dog in the pre-programmed human language and indicate where to feed it.

The researchers found that, in addition to finding better hidden food, the dog treats friendly robots like a stranger. The dog will sniff the gloved hands that indicate where the food is hiding, and spend more time staring at the screen of the robot's interface.

The team concluded, dogs will eventually feel attached to the "friendly" robot that fed it. This may be an allusion to this animal that will be loyal to any object or object that provides food to feed them, something we do not observe in cats.
