It attracted great attention of zoologists because in nature, although living together, people have never seen zebras and cheated with 'love' relations to create a 'descendant' . This is extremely rare. The zedon was named by Pippi Longstocking owner.

Why is it called zedon? The zedon is the first name in the first two English words of the animal whose father is zebra and his mother is a donkey. This zedon belongs to the female, has the appearance of a donkey mother, only on 4 feet and head with black lines, traces of the zebra father's inheritance. The name Longstocking also comes from here, because all four legs look like two pairs of toe socks from heels to thighs.

Currently zedon is living with his herd at the birth place, including a camel, two donkey brothers (who are also half-brothers with zedon), a zebra father and a donkey mother. old and small now 40 years old.

A similar case occurred in 2005 in Barbados, but that time, the hybrid animal had a donkey father and a zebra mother.
