It is humid, how is it handled when the glass is blurred with steam?

Driving glass is blurred by steam, due to cold dew or simply temperature difference when the weather is high humidity or cold weather . how should the treatment be most effective?

There are many ways to follow the driver's experience, including . using a towel to wipe; however, when producing cars, all of these situations were anticipated by supporting devices, which, if not noticed, would drive many people to ignore these features.

The steam clinging to the driving glass limits visibility, especially in cold weather with wet rain.

1. Use glass drying system

1. Most new model cars are now equipped with this feature, supporting the driver to keep the view. Most of the current models have both glass and rear-view drying systems; and only luxury, expensive models have an extra rearview mirror drying system.

1. Button system pre-heating front / rear windshield is usually arranged on the central control panel, close to the air-conditioning system, with a separate symbol (pictured above) and when activated, the indicator light will turn on. (If the indicator light is not lit, the system is not working properly).

Normally, in models with automatic air conditioning systems, these features will automatically turn off after a certain period of time (10-15 minutes by design); if not, remember to turn off this function after the steam treatment has been completed to prevent the power system from operating overloaded or optimizing fuel and air conditioning systems.

2. Use air conditioning system

1. The first thing to note is that it is not recommended to use hot air conditioners to treat steam on the glass because condensation on the windshield is due to the temperature difference inside the vehicle and the environment. Use cold air conditioning and reasonable wind mode.
2. Select wind flow mode on the windshield (wind mode control button is available right on the car's air conditioning system), use the wind level and the temperature is reasonable because if it is too cold, it is easy to cause the glass passive water outside.

3. Balance the temperature inside and outside the vehicle

1. Break down the glass about 10-15cm: A simple and non-consuming way to use gasoline when balancing the inside / outside of the car, avoiding water stagnation. However, if driving in the rain, this is clearly not an optimal choice.
2. Turn on the blower and let the air get out. This is also the plan to balance the temperature inside / outside the car, avoiding the phenomenon of water retention on the glass. However, the weakness of this approach is not very effective and if there is steam on the windshield or rear glass, it is obvious that taking the outside wind is too late.
