A Canadian photographer, who was born and raised in a small community of about 300 Inuit people, has dedicated his life to documenting the lives of animals in the northernmost region.
Not only is he a momentary photographer, but he is also a biological conservationist. He is co-founder of SeaLegacy, an organization that uses photography to raise awareness of natural conservation around the globe.
" The images of me and my colleagues are timeless evidence that shows the rapid change of the Earth, are the videos that tell the transformation of our planet ," Nicklen said.
" Remember once, I fell into a situation close to death. Because I was busy chasing purple aurora bands in the sky, I fell into the middle of wolves to take pictures.
At this time, not only the aurora, but also the International Space Station (ISS) gliding through the sky. 12 wolves howl around me but thankfully I'm still alive today ".
