2009: Shoot the Moon to find water
The US plans to spend about $ 80 million to bombard the Moon in order to track traces of water on the planet. The bombardment will be carried out in 2009.

NASA scientists say their bombardment will unearth a hole about the size of a third of a football field and cause debris to shoot strongly into the air.
After the bombardment, the space probe will fly freely through the debris and look for signs of ice or steam.
This is America's first step in an ambitious project to bring astronauts to the moon by 2018. The entire cost of the crew is estimated at over $ 600 million. Particularly the project to bombard the Moon is about 80 million USD.
The US plans to launch the ship with a mission to bombard the Moon in October 2008. This ship will carry a rocket and bombardment "bullets" flying around the moon for at least a year. It is responsible for mapping the surface of the Moon, searching for water and potential locations on the Moon to bring astronauts to research.

The probe will focus on exploring the southernmost area of the Moon, where NASA considers the area a viable area for human settlements in the future.
Then, in January 2009, the "bullet" that bombarded the moon would be released at 5,600 miles per hour towards the frozen crater that scientists believe water was concealed.
If frozen ice is found, that means there is a possibility of water on the Moon. This water will be used as fuel for missiles or oxygen when humans build bases on the Moon.
