450km wide crater on Saturn moon

Inside the frozen moon Tethys of Saturn may be a molten sphere. This is also the "promised land" for alien life.

NASA has just released images of Saturn. The most notable is the Odysseus crater, which is estimated to be 400-450km wide and Ithaca Chasma valley runs from the North to the South of the planet, 100km wide, 3-5km deep and 2,000km long.

Scientists believe that this crater shows below the thick ice is a melting fireball. The presence of craters can occur all-planet disasters that change everything on it.

Besides, this moon is also quite close to Saturn and bathed in sunlight reflected from Saturn. It is one of the 53 moons of this planet and has long been considered a "promised land" in its quest to find extraterrestrial life. Thanks to its molten core, it can hide water and conditions for life beneath the ice.

The data is taken by NASA. In addition to Tethys, Cassini also has the task of researching thoroughly Titan, another moon of Saturn which is also thought to be qualified for life to form.

The proof of life on Titan seems clearer than Tethys, because a data from Cassini's plasma spectrometer shows that carbon - the element of life is being "seeded" into larger molecules on this moon. . According to a study by ESA - European Space Agency, this could promote prebiotic chemical reactions, similar to the way life begins on earth.
