Not coming out of any university gate, Mr. Nguyen Van Mac (35 years old) was called "inventor" by the people of Tien Phong commune, Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen because he was the author of an automatic incubator .

Born into a farming family, mainly poultry farming, witnessing the parents take eggs every day and then start the hen to hatch, it takes time and the hatching rate is not high, Mac thinks. improve. Although not trained through technical classes, but with a passion for research, in 2015, he began to implement the idea of ​​making his automatic incubator.

He shared that the process of making the machine was extremely difficult because when the Internet was not popular, the first incubator was made with simple drawings on paper and wooden boxes with a small amount of capital. The difficulty increased when his first device did not solve the temperature problem, causing the egg to completely fail after 10 days of incubation. At that time, he was always in pain with the fabrication work. The nights were sleeping, suddenly coming up with some idea about the machine, he turned on hui repaired, adjusted until morning.

After many technical modifications and improvements, in 2017, he created a fully automatic incubator. Machine for successful incubation rate higher than 50-60% manual incubation. The machine has a simple structure, the frame is made from zinc pipe, using aluminum and corrugated outer, inside including measuring equipment and temperature control.

As known, the rate of egg failure or hatch depends largely on temperature and humidity. Knowing this, he designed an automatic egg stirring device for the machine, different from the incubators on the market at that time, helping the eggs have an ideal temperature environment and avoiding the phenomenon of close to the eggshell. An egg stirring device designed every hour automatically reverses without manual operation. The water bottle is designed outside to provide moisture for eggs without affecting the internal temperature of the machine.

An improved incubator can help hatch eggs reach 98% with a capacity of 700 eggs / batch. The device not only hatches one type of eggs but also can manipulate different temperatures to hatch different types of poultry. At first, he only designed the design to serve the family but when he saw the productivity, he started mass production to serve the people. In 2018 he sold 60 machines, so far hundreds of automatic incubators have been released to the market. The price of each machine ranges from 2-6 million depending on the size of each type. Given that this price is still quite high compared to farmers, he is looking to improve the machine in a compact, cheaper way.

Currently, the author of the automatic egg incubator wants the patented product to be able to gain access to foreign markets. In 2018, he was awarded the Luong Dinh Cua Award for young people with outstanding achievements in transferring science and technology to production and business.
