Aliens can live forever

In addition to waiting for strange messages from the universe, people should seek out machines that know extraterrestrial thinking, scientists who search for extraterrestrial civilizations.

BBC said, SETI, which specializes in the search for extraterrestrial civilizations, is still waiting for radio signals from other civilizations. But Dr. Seth Shostak, an astronomer from SETI, said that alien creatures were able to make thoughtful machines. So, instead of looking for living things, Shostak thinks we should pay attention to smart machines.

Many SETI scientists believe that creatures in the universe not only have human appearances, but also have the same biological mechanism as us, meaning they only live for a certain period of time. But many other experts claim that other civilizations have been able to make thoughtful machines so they can live forever.

John Elliott, a researcher at the University of Leeds in England, said Dr. Shostak's speculation was a breakthrough hypothesis. According to him, machines that think can exist in the center of galaxies - filled with matter and energy - to keep them alive. Thus, people should search in a different direction, not just waiting for radio signals from the universe. After more than 50 years of searching for radio signals, SETI realized that if other civilizations existed, it was likely that thinking machines were their representatives.

Both Dr. Shostak and Dr. Elliott recognize that finding and decoding messages from machines is much more difficult than messages from living organisms. Even so, Shostak's hypothesis helps the scientific community to draw new directions in the effort to find an extra-civilized civilization. For example, our technical devices should be towards hot stars and newly formed near the center of galaxies. Such stars have a lot of material and energy, which the machines need.
