Recently, researchers have deciphered a text used to train Samurai warriors in the nineteenth century in Japan.

This text has been translated into English and analyzed by a group of Japanese scientists from the University of Eötvös Loránd in Budapest, Hungary. With the original name 'Bugei no jo' translated as 'introduction to martial arts ', this text was determined to be written in the 15th year of the Tenpo era in the Land of the Rising Sun (1844).

The main content of this document guides the disciples to the martial arts system they need to acquire to become a samurai.

The team said the text was written by an ancient Chinese military master. Writing of kanbun style text, combining elements in Chinese and Japanese scripts.
