Animals half sheep, half goats

A funny creature at the farm in Germany surprised the scientists. It was an animal whose first half was sheep, the lower half was a goat.

She was born after an unprecedented sexual encounter at Klaus Exsternbrink's farm in Schwerte, northern Germany. One of his male goats jumped over the fence and had an intimate relationship with a female sheep. The result was a month ago, Lisa - resembling a sheep in shape and stature but had the color and hind legs of a goat - was born.

Her mother did not seem surprised by the difference of her child and happily took care of it. Now Lisa has been taken to a medical school in Hanover so that people can test DNA to determine its hybrid status.

"The transformation of this type of creation is extremely rare," Professor Karl-Heinz Waldmann said. "But goats are still known to be very enthusiastic about it."

Until now, it is not known whether this hybrid animal will produce goat milk or sheep milk, but the farm owner believes that the drink is still drinkable.
