Five-legged sheep was born in England

A sheep with 5 legs was born on a farm in the UK on March 31 and its health is perfectly normal.

Heather Hogarty, manager of Whitehouse Farm on the outskirts of Morpeth, Northumberland County, said the five-foot sheep is one of three sheep born on the farm on March 31. The excess leg grows between the front legs, has a normal shape and is about the same size as the other legs. Everyone on the farm called it Quinto, the BBC reported.

Quinto sheep live and move normally even if it has up to 5 feet.

"We have never met a legacy like Quinto. It was the most unusual case on the farm so far," said Hogarty, who has worked at the farm for 16 years.

A veterinarian will assess Quinto's health condition over the next few days to decide to keep or cut off his leg.

Quinto quickly became the "star" of the farm. Despite the existence of an extra leg, it moves and operates normally. It seems that the leg does not cause any problems to it.

Sam Prescott, director of Prescott Veterinary Center at Morpeth, said: "This is a very rare case, but we think the gene mutation is responsible for the sheep having five legs. Then we will see the sheep. born with forms of body deformity, such as two heads ".
