New Zealand appeared 7-legged sheep
Born exactly one week ago at the Callaghan family's farm, the lamb ' excelled ' by walking around with 5 feet: 2 before, 3 after. The second leg of the 6th and 7th leg is dangling in the front, short and nothing.
Dave Callaghan said, this is the first time in his herd that he has a 'beast', which is a new 7-foot beast. Same child with ' sheep ' and a twin sister, however this child is completely normal. The whole 7-week sheep has proved to be quite healthy, but experts believe that deformities will make it difficult to live long.
According to Dr Steve Williams at Methven Town's Canterbury Veterinary Hospital, polypipulation occurs only with a chance of a few million, due to genetic changes during embryo.
7 feet is not the only singularity of Callaghan's sheep. It also possesses the genitalia of both males and females, and also loses a piece of the intestine that makes it impossible for the stool to move out.
'Keeping it alive is even more cruel than giving away a medicine. Because its organs were also ragged because it could not eliminate the waste. ' - Dr. Williams spoke with Ashburton Guardian reporter.
