Bicycle made of bamboo

People who are worried about the environment and relatively 'wealthy' can buy a bicycle made from environmentally friendly bamboo but easily become the 'bait' of bacteria.

The bamboo bike is produced through many stages to avoid bacterial attack.

Called Calfee, this special bike costs owners nearly $ 5,000. Calfee has a frame made of bamboo, originating from remote mountainous areas in Yushan National Park area, Taiwan. However, during transport, a large number of traces of carbon have crept into the vehicle's bamboo body. Therefore, they are transported to California for drying to prevent damage. After that, the integral parts of the vehicle are assembled with the support of hemp racks, before being coated with polyurethane synthetic resin.

Although made from natural materials, the price of bamboo bikes is not soft.

Currently this unique bike is available in the UK and immediately 5 people ordered them. Bamboo is a stronger material than soft steel and has greater elasticity than carbon structure, which helps them withstand an unusually strong impact.

Rachel Hammond, the 'father' of this bamboo bike, said: 'Since bamboo is a natural material, it takes a lot of movement when using this vehicle.'
