The phone is made from bamboo
A 23-year-old student in the UK is about to launch a phone made mostly of bamboo.
The 'Adzero' smartphone may be available later this year. It is made from 4 years old bamboo and is processed to increase durability. The phone runs on Google's Android operating system.
Kieron Scott-Woodhouse, a design student at Middlesex University, says he designs the phone in his spare time because he is tired of looking at many of the phones that look the same.
Middlesex said that a technology company had contacted Woodhouse after he posted the design online.

"Tre sounds like it's not the right material to make a phone, but it's very strong and durable, and it's perfect for use on phones," says the designer.
The phone is described as half as heavy as the iPhone, and has a "flash" function for shooting photos.
