Just like the bamboo-made phone that was introduced before, the wood-made tablet made by German scientists is completely environmentally friendly.
The iameco computer (I Am Eco ) was created by scientists at the Fraunhofer Berlin Institute and is manufactured by MicroPro (Ireland).
The Iameco consists of a touch screen, a wooden frame, and a copper wiring that creates 'thermal holes' that replace the conventional computer's fan system. As a result, the computer does not sound buzzing when in operation.
Iameco has been awarded the European Union's ' Eco-Friendly ' Flower brand. This is the first computer product to receive that certification.
German scientists intend to continue to create eco-friendly laptops with a shell made of wood.
