After two years of hard work, experienced many failures, in 2007, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Quang, former Head of the Department of Basic Thermal Engineering, Department of Thermoelectric Technology, Da Nang University of Technology (working in Ho Chi Minh City), successfully fabricating badly circulating fluidized bed boiler. Currently, this boiler is used by many businesses, saving billions of dong each year.

Use of fuel from waste products

Boilers produce steam supplied to other machinery and equipment in industrial production lines. The principle of industrial boilers is to use fuel to boil water, depending on the structure of the type of boiler that the fuel can be solid (wood, coal, wood), liquid (FO .), or gas). Popular in Vietnam is boiler using FO oil, coal. However, imported FO oil has a high price so it is very expensive.

The idea of ​​Dr. Quang is to design a circulating fluidized bed boiler using bad fuels (dust coal, agricultural by-products) to replace FO and coal to save costs. 'Because the structure of the boiler uses FO oil and coal is not suitable for burning bad fuels, it is necessary to design a completely new fluidized bed furnace. On the other hand, Vietnam did not have this technology boiler in 2005, so I started researching from zero, ' Dr. Quang said.

Two-year discrete, multiple adjustments, changes in design, design and finally fluidized bed boiler burns a variety of fuels and achieves the same design efficiency.

Fluidized bed boiler operates automatically and continuously like FO oil furnace: automatic feeding, pressure holding, water supply pump, boiling stabilizer and slightly stable quality, convenient operator , no coal feeding operation and manual slag removal.

To ensure emission standards, the boiler is equipped with two levels of dry and wet dust collection, smoke washing does not pollute the environment. Fluidized bed technology reduces harmful emissions by 5-6 times compared to using old boiler technology.

Reduce costs, increase competitiveness

Regarding economic benefits, due to the use of bad fuels, inexpensive by-products, when applying this boiler, enterprises can save up to 50% on fuel costs compared to using FO oil.

On the other hand, due to the design, construction and installation of domestic boilers, the initial investment cost was much lower than that of imported imported boiler. Maintenance, maintenance and replacement of equipment is also very convenient.
