Pretec introduced a 2 GB miniSD card
Memory cards are getting smaller in size but larger in storage capacity. Stemming from that trend, Pretec Electronics Group is proving to be a short-term development trend of memory card for mobile devices when it announces that it will produce 2GB miniSD memory card, capacity. Largest storage in the miniSD card formats available in the market.
Pretec was also the company that renovated MMC 4.0 memory card in 2004, and launched the world's first 4 GB SD card in July 2005.
Increasing the amount of storage will allow mobile phone users with compatibility with external miniSD cards, such as Motorola mobile phones, to store more than 500 MP3 songs and over 4000 photos. This is really great for people who use mobile phones, smartphones, PDAs as portable MP3 players to listen to an incredible amount of music library.
Pretec's 4 GB SD card will be sold at retail outlets such as Fry and Radio Shack, at Christmas for $ 299. However, the company has not announced any price and time for launching 2GB miniSD card.
