Credit card high technology
Credit card maker MasterCard is preparing to introduce a credit card with a design that goes beyond conventional standards, with an LCD screen, a keyboard with touch buttons for entering bank passwords.
BBC reported that the high-tech card will be launched in Singapore in January 2013 before launching globally. One of the strengths of the new credit card is the ability to create 'one-time passwords ', eliminating the step of logging onto another device when you want to transact online.
Most international banks require customers to log into a small, coin-sized or key-chain security device when making transactions online. Of course, such access is safer for users than just entering login names and passwords, but many people often forget to bring digital security devices.
MasterCard's new credit card eliminates the hassle of this device. Future versions of credit cards may display additional information such as account balance when trading.
