British scientist: 'The first person to live to 1,000 years old was born'

Dr. Aubrey de Gray, co-founder of the SENS Research Foundation, said the first person to live up to 1,000 years of age was born at the Virtual Futures conference in London, England on November 28, Follow Funurism.
De Grey believes that in the future, the world will be completely free from old-age diseases. At the seminar, he also predicted that science will find aging treatments in the next 20 years.
This year scientists achieved many breakthroughs in research. In August, researchers discovered a molecule capable of fighting the effects of aging. A new stem cell treatment introduced in October also yielded impressive results.
Last month, the team from the University of Exeter developed a way to reverse the aging process of cells. Another group of scientists also found mutations in the anti-aging gene.
"In fact, aging is killing 110,000 people around the world every day. Obviously it causes more pain than anything else we have to go through. Contrary to the point that most people tie themselves up. Dear, aging is actually a problem that can be controlled by technology intervention , " de Gray said.
According to the United Nations, the number of people over 60 will more than double in the next few decades, from 962 million in 2017 to 2.1 billion in 2050. When people find a way to fight the aging process, de Gray predicts, rejuvenation specialists dealing with related problems such as tissue atrophy, cancer cells, mitochondrial mutations, hardening of the extracellular matrix structure, will develop.
Initial treatments can be very expensive, but then become cheaper and more accessible. At that time, perhaps the treatment of aging would be as simple as seeing a doctor or dentist.
De Gray also argued that anti-aging would affect politicians' careers. " You can't be elected without a commitment to fight against aging," he predicts.
De Gray dismissed concerns that this would lead to overpopulation and negatively affect the Earth. He argues that the problem is not so many people living on the planet, but whether the technologies and current consumer speeds are destroying the environment. Therefore, he said that the world should move to use.
