China: Allowing failure in science

The Ministry of Science and Technology of China announced on August 28 that the revised Science and Technology Progress Law allowed scientists to publish their failures without losing face or losing other research interests.

Accordingly, the scientific researcher only needs to prove that he has done all his responsibility. This is the first time, the creation of the creative nation has been included in Chinese law.

Chinese traditional culture only allows success, does not allow failure. This is one of the important reasons why this country is backward. Draconian failure makes them dare not to be creative, innovative and easily passive.

Minister of Science and Technology Van Cuong said: 'In the past, for people who do scientific research, the subject of failure seems to be lost. Fear of losing research costs, being misguided about their ability and losing their paths, so many researchers do not dare to create, dare not dedicate themselves to making a fake thesis. Only this month, 13 Chinese scientists were named for fraud and researched the results of others.
