China: The world's largest seaplane is flying its first flight
THX reported that, according to the China Aerospace Industry Corporation (AVIC), it has exceeded the official technical assessment to be ready for its first flight.
AG600.
Designed to be the world's largest seaplane , the AG600 is 37 meters long, with a wingspan of 38.8 meters and a maximum takeoff rate of 53.5 tonnes.
AG600 can be used for marine rescue, forest fire suppression, marine monitoring and protection.
This seaplane can suck 20 tonnes of water for 20 seconds, and transport up to 370 tonnes of water with only one fuel tank.
AVIC said the technical evaluation of the seaplane was made in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, South China. Experts agree that the AG600 is ready to fly.
